Notch is a shared-living app that helps flatmates manage chores, split expenses, and keep a shared shopping list. Your data stays within your household group.
Your core account and household data is stored on Supabase — a GDPR-compliant infrastructure provider hosted in the EU.
We use a small number of trusted providers ("subprocessors") to run the app. They only receive the minimum needed to do their job:
Only the members of your household can see your household's chores, expenses, and shopping list. No one outside your household — including us — can read your household data.
We use Expo's push notification service to deliver alerts. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the app.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly in the app: Settings → Delete account. This removes your profile, chores, expenses, shopping items and points immediately and cannot be undone.
You can also leave a household at any time from Settings → Leave household without deleting your account. If you prefer, you can email support@notch.app to request deletion and we will process it within 30 days.
Notch is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and notify users via the app.
